More RIDICULOUS Lies: Israel’s Defenders Are Not “Gangsters” – They Are Heroes Protecting a Nation

Mondoweiss has once again published a grotesquely distorted attack on Israel, cynically titled “Israel’s Gangsters in Gaza.” Let’s call this what it really is: a propaganda hit piece aimed at demonizing those who have risked their lives to rescue hostages and eliminate terrorist infrastructure in Gaza. The article does not inform — it incites. And it does so while whitewashing the very real crimes of Hamas.

Israeli Soldiers Are Not “Gangsters” – They’re Rescuers and Defenders

The term “gangsters” is not just inflammatory — it’s insulting to the soldiers who just carried out one of the most daring and morally righteous hostage rescues in modern history. The same soldiers Mondoweiss labels as criminals risked their lives to bring home four innocent civilians, including Noa Argamani, whose face became a global symbol of the horrors of October 7.

Calling these elite forces “gangsters” while refusing to utter a word about the actual gangsters of Gaza — Hamas — who have been holding civilians in cages, using them as human shields, and broadcasting their psychological torture to the world — is pure moral rot.

Hostages Are Not “War Spoils” — They Are Victims of Terror

Nowhere in the Mondoweiss article is there an ounce of outrage for what was done to these hostages. Noa Argamani was kidnapped by Hamas during a massacre. She was ripped away from her boyfriend, paraded around on a motorcycle like a trophy, and held captive for 245 days. Yet Mondoweiss cries about the loss of Hamas operatives in a firefight and ignores the suffering of the hostages.

Make no mistake: this is a movement that wants you to mourn the deaths of those who have blood on their hands, while telling you to ignore the broken bodies and spirits of the innocent civilians Hamas dragged into the tunnels of hell.

The Real “Gangsters” Run Gaza

Let’s talk about who the real criminals are. Hamas is a foreign-funded Islamist death cult that has:

  • Raped and mutilated women on October 7

  • Beheaded babies and burned families alive

  • Launched thousands of rockets into Israeli cities, targeting civilians

  • Hidden weapons in hospitals, schools, and mosques

  • Turned Gaza’s population into human shields

And what does Mondoweiss do? It calls Israeli soldiers “gangsters” for dismantling that very machinery of terror.

Selective Outrage: Mondoweiss and the Politics of Terror Apologia

The article's entire framing is a masterclass in reverse victimhood. It portrays a sovereign nation rescuing its kidnapped citizens as a criminal enterprise — while it makes excuses for those who started this war by invading Israel on October 7 and massacring 1,200 people in cold blood.

There is no mention of Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas mastermind hiding behind women and children. No mention of the billions Hamas siphoned off to build terror tunnels instead of schools. No mention of the abuse, rape, and trauma inflicted on Israeli women — all while Mondoweiss parades as a defender of human rights.

Where was Mondoweiss when:

  • Female hostages were returned emaciated, beaten, and silenced?

  • Terrorists used UNRWA buildings to launch attacks?

  • Palestinian civilians were shot by Hamas for trying to evacuate?

They were silent. Or worse — they were justifying it.

Israel’s Rescue Was Precise, Legal, and Just

Despite the chaos of urban warfare, over 150,000 Israeli soldiers have operated in Gaza with strict rules of engagement. The recent rescue mission targeted Hamas operatives directly. The IDF used intelligence, decoys, and precision fire — not random bombing. Tragically, some civilians were caught in the crossfire, but every death lies squarely on Hamas’s strategy of hiding among civilians.

Unlike Hamas, Israel doesn’t target civilians. It rescues them.

Conclusion: Israel Stands for Life — Hamas Stands for Death

The smear piece published by Mondoweiss is not journalism — it’s a glorified op-ed for a terrorist cause. Israel does not need to apologize for saving its citizens. It should be celebrated.

Every hostage rescued is a victory for humanity. Every terrorist eliminated is a step toward peace.

And every word from Mondoweiss trying to twist that truth will be met with unflinching resistance from those who still believe in moral clarity.
