“Recognising Terror, Rewarding Bloodshed: Why Canada’s Posture on ‘Palestine’ Is a Tragic Mistake”

In a stunning display of moral confusion and geopolitical cowardice, Canadian Prime Minister Carney has announced that his country will move toward recognizing a so-called Palestinian state — following in the steps of Spain, Ireland, and Norway. He justifies this move by referencing the "human suffering in Gaza." But let us be clear: this suffering is not the fault of Israel. It is the direct and deliberate result of Hamas, a genocidal terrorist regime that hides weapons in schools, hospitals, mosques, and under civilian homes — and uses its own people as human shields.

Carney, like his European counterparts, chooses to ignore the October 7th atrocities — the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. He chooses to overlook the burned children, raped women, beheaded civilians, and 120+ hostages still languishing in underground tunnels without sunlight, medicine, or a voice. What kind of "state" is being rewarded here? One built on baby-murdering barbarism?

Let’s be blunt: this isn’t about peace. This is about appeasement.

Recognising “Palestine” Means Rewarding Hamas

Where was Carney’s outrage when Israelis in Sderot were living under daily rocket fire for years? Where was his condemnation when Hamas launched over 30,000 rockets into Israel — from neighborhoods they then accused Israel of bombing in self-defense?

By moving to recognize a Palestinian state right after the most sadistic terror attack in modern Israeli history, Carney sends a message not of peace, but of incentivized violence. Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and every other jihadi group now know: massacre Jews and the world will reward you with statehood.

This isn't just insulting — it's dangerous.

A Fantasy State Without Law, Economy, or Peace

Ask yourself: what exactly is being recognized?

  • A terror-fueled dictatorship in Gaza that executes dissenters in public squares?

  • A corrupt kleptocracy in Ramallah, led by Mahmoud Abbas who hasn’t held elections since 2005 and openly pays stipends to convicted terrorists?

  • A divided, lawless, genocidally inclined “leadership” whose charters still call for the destruction of Israel?

Palestinians don't need statehood recognition. They need liberation — from their own tyrants.

Israel Has a Right — and a Duty — to Defend Itself

The so-called "intolerable suffering" in Gaza is the tragic result of Hamas embedding itself in civilian infrastructure and deliberately prolonging the war to score global sympathy. Let’s not forget: Israel offered daily humanitarian aid. Israel paused fighting for hostage negotiations. Israel dropped leaflets, made phone calls, and texted civilians before airstrikes — something no other army in the world does.

Meanwhile, Hamas fires rockets from UN schools and booby-traps aid convoys. But Carney would rather place blame on the one country in the region that is a democracy, protects minority rights, and seeks coexistence.

Where Was the West When Jewish Lives Were Burning?

Let’s not forget that Yuval Raphael, Israel’s Eurovision contestant, is a survivor of Hamas’s massacre at the Nova music festival — where young people dancing for peace were hunted like animals. Yet not a single Western leader moved to recognize Israel’s trauma with the same urgency.

Carney speaks of Palestinian suffering — which is real — but says nothing of the 1,200 Israelis butchered. Of the women raped, burned, mutilated, and paraded through Gaza. Of the children still in captivity.

The selective outrage is chilling.

Peace Doesn’t Come by Rewarding Violence

Peace comes through accountability, recognition of Israel’s right to exist in secure borders, and dismantling terror networks — not by handing terrorists international legitimacy.

Recognising a Palestinian state now, in the shadow of October 7th, is not diplomacy. It is betrayal. And Canada — a country that once stood proudly with Israel — is on the verge of becoming complicit in whitewashing the worst atrocity Jews have experienced in generations.

History will remember who stood with the victims — and who sided with their murderers.

Israel Will Not Apologize for Surviving.

We Will Not Let Terrorism Be Rewarded.

We Will Never Forget.
