Adam Boehler: Trump’s Former Special Envoy and His Role in U.S.-Hamas Negotiations
Adam Boehler, former special envoy for U.S. President Donald Trump on hostage affairs, was born in New York to Jewish parents and was Jared Kushner’s college roommate.
He founded several healthcare companies and began working with the U.S. government in 2018.
Boehler was appointed to lead the U.S. Center for Medical Innovation and later served as the CEO of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).
Additionally, he was a member of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council.
Following Hamas' terror attack on October 7, Boehler expressed strong support for Israel.
In media interviews, he confirmed that he had engaged in direct negotiations with senior Hamas officials and hinted that the U.S. was not ruling out a long-term ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
His statements sparked mixed reactions, including criticism from former U.S. Ambassador to Israel, David Friedman.
Boehler currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee, with his wife Shira and their four children. He remains active in the local Jewish community.
